WestJet customers are revealing frustration on social networks after WestJet revealed its 2020 summer season schedule, which includes locations in the United States.

The airline company revealed Monday that 45 locations are available to book from its summertime schedule from July 5 through August 4. Of the destinations, 39 remain in Canada, five remain in the United States and one is in Mexico.

Back in May, WestJet Airlines Ltd. laid off 3,000 people and cancelled over 4,000 domestic flights weekly as the COVID-19 pandemic continued to hammer the airline company industry.

The policy does not consist of flights within Canada or to continental Europe, Mexico or the Caribbean.

Now, WestJet consumers are frustrated that the airline company is currently using flights south of the border when it cancelled thousands of tickets and hasn’t provided refunds for them.

In response to the flurry of aggravation, WestJet composes on its Twitter account, “Our apologies at the frustration you’re feeling. If you need our aid, please send us a direct message with your name, six-letter reservation code and initial departure date.”

The apology failed for lots of consumers.

Some state they are still waiting for a refund on the cost of their cancelled flights, while others say the brand-new flights fall days after their old ones, which WestJet rebooked them.

” No, you’re CERTAINLY not all set when we are. You have actually cancelled my flight TWICE, and still no refund. I’ve needed to book with AA since you are scoundrels and your service is worthless. Shame on you. Provide individuals their cash back,” Twitter user ElisaND published.

Presently, the Government of Canada specifies that you need to avoid all travel outside of the country until more notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a worldwide travel advisory, the government keeps in mind that, “This advisory overrides other risk levels on this page, with the exception of any risk levels for nations or areas where we recommend to prevent all travel.”
